My first ride

Posted by two23 in Uncategorized

It was a Tuesday, the day I go to my Dad’s house after school. Kinsey, Jen and I walked up Jen’s alley to get to her house as I called my Dad asking him if I could go to Jen’s house for a couple of hours. When he answered he sounded very staticly, lake there was construction going on in the backround. He told me I could and to have my sister waiting for him outside. I went inside with Kinsey and Jen and we started to come up for ideas for twin day the next day. I offered to make them matching shirts. So as I sat down to make them, I saw a man driving by on a motorcycle with my sister on the back. I almost fell back in my chair. Jen’s mom Barbara was out there talking to my Dad as he came to pick her up. She walked through the door saying “Nice bike, your Dad just baught!” I said, “That’s my Dad? He owns it?” I was in shock. A couple of hours went by, and I was outside with Jen and Kinsey making some videos for youtube. Then my dad drove up and down the street once, and finally stopped in front of Jen’s house. He had a helmet for me and I hopped on the back of his new black BMW motorcycle. We zoomedpast my friends as I waved goodbye. I felt so safe on the back of it with my Dad. I couldn’t stop smiling and couldn’t close my eyes, even though the wind was blowing in them and making them water. As we turned the corner my Dad told me to hold on and stay forward. Not to lean in any direction and stay with him. As we continued to drive down the street I could feel the bike keeping it’s balance, and staying so perfect in it’s placement. My dad used to ride motorcycles all across America alone and with his friends. He was a biker and always will be at heart. I’m so happy to see him riding again. He has had a few accidents but he’s learned from them and is very safe. It’s the most beautiful bike. I can’t wait until my next ride.
